Showcase a personal collection that’s meaningful in a focal part of your space like a photo collage of your family or a collections of shells you gathered from a summer vacation in a beautiful bowl or vase. Sentimental things make us instantly feel good when we see them and remind us of good times..
Flowers or Branches
Add a vase of fresh flowers or an orchid to a spot where you will see them often. I will often just cut something from my garden, even fresh branches work. The color and life they represent will make you smile every time you see them.
Light a scented candle (I said light it, not just set it out to look pretty) to calm the nerves and add an ambient glow at night. A lovely scent and soothing glow...double bonus!
Collection of vintage and antique stamps, in mine and my childrens initials sit on a side table in my family room. Remeber there is strength in numbers. Keep like things together to make a strong statement and conversation piece.
Wall collages can be anything from vintage paintings to mirrors to family photos. As a general rule, keep like genres together. Things dont have to be perfect. Somethimes the older the better... at least in my book it is. :)
Think out side the box, unique flowes or branches can add texture and pops of color to arrangements. I love cotton, its so unexpected!
Jewels on Display
What can I say? I love, love, LOVE jewelry! For me, leaving the house without accessorizing is the equivalent to leaving the house with out shoes on! For this reason, I have my collection on display in my bedroom, it's eye catching and super easy access.
You can never have to much candle light. Not too mention a good scented candle can act like an air freshener. I am a huge fan of the Aqueisse candles we carry at our shop!
